Having a history of all previous calculations is definitely convenient. Especially if you have a lot of related calculations to do and need better insight. Sadly, the default iPhone Calculator doesn’t offer this feature. Luckily, you can get it with some third-party apps as we explain below.
How do I find my calculator history on my iPhone?
The stock iPhone Calculator doesn’t have this functionality. It has a lot of options, both classic and scientific, but keeping calculations history is not one of them. For that, you’ll need a third-party app and there are more than a few alternatives to choose from on App Store. The iPhone Calculator app does allow you to memorize the last entry just like on standard calculators. For a detailed history, you’ll need to use the app in the landscape orientation.
Personally, I like Calculator + for its customization and features. It’s also quite convenient that the app is free and not completely ruined by ads while closely resembling the stock Calculator app, so that’s going for it, too. You can get the Calculator +: History tap from the App Store.
But that’s just one example. You have also The Calculator (App Store) with a bit different aesthetic and a similar set of features. If you need to, you can subscribe to the premium options for extra features on all these apps.
There are many options and most of them are not bad — it just depends on your requirements and workflow. In Calculator +, the History Tape will appear on top of the main calculation box so you can see all previous calculations. You can delete the history by tapping the Trash bin icon.
