Follow the steps below to install an older APK of Google Translate:

  1. Uninstall Google Translate.
  2. Open a browser of your choice on your mobile and navigate to APK Mirror.
  3. Download any other previous version. Now, we don’t want to back too much, so stick to recent versions.
  4. Allow installation from third-party sources.
  5. Install the app and look for improvements.

5. Use Google Lens temporarily

Finally, if Google Translate Camera is not working on your Android, you can download and use Google Lens temporarily. Recently, Google Lens got Translation support which might come in handy.
