1. Update the Google app
Let’s start by simply updating the Google app. Issues are usually mitigated soon enough with a new update. Of course, if you can update the app to start with. You can try force-stopping the app and checking for updates in the Play Store.

- Open Google Play Store.
- Tap on your Account icon at the top right corner and select Manage apps & device.

4. Reinstall the Google app
The next thing to try if the Google app keeps crashing on your Android is to reinstall the app. Now, as we already mentioned, the Google app comes pre-installed on the majority of Android skins. That means that you won’t be able to uninstall the app but merely restore it to its default system values by removing updates.
Here’s how to reinstall the Google app:
- Again, navigate to Settings > Apps & notifications > All apps > Google.
- Tap on the 3-dot menu and tap Uninstall updates.
- Go to Play Store, search for Google, and expand it.
- Tap on the 3-dot menu and disable auto-updates.
- Look for improvements.
