Some Google services can definitely be much better but some are very intuitive and accessible. Some of those services are rather convenient and allow users more control and easier access to various settings. This includes subscription settings in Play Store for apps and services you pay for on monthly or yearly plans. But what if you want to cancel an app subscription on Android? Learn how to do it below.
How to Cancel App Subscription on Android Google Play Store
Canceling subscriptions from the Play Store definitely makes things easier. Instead of dealing with many menus within third-party apps, Google made sure to provide users with a unified list of all subscriptions in one place in the Play Store.
You can easily find all active subscriptions and cancel any of them from the Payment & subscriptions tab in the Play Store. Under the same menu, you can even check your budget and purchase history, redeem gift codes, or change your payment methods.
But, we are running in front of ourselves. Here’s how to see all active subscriptions and cancel if that’s what you want:
- Open Play Store.
- Tap on your profile icon and then select Payment & subscriptions from the menu.
- Select Subscriptions.
- Choose the app/service you want to cancel.
- Tap Cancel subscription.
Now, you’ll still be able to use the subscription premium features for the time you already paid. If you are paying for a yearly plan, you can use the app for a year. The same goes for monthly subscriptions.
Besides that, you can also change payment methods, or even add a secondary method from which you’ll be charged. If the first one fails to work for some reason.
And that’s all you need to know in order to cancel an app subscription on Android. Thank you for reading and feel free to share your thoughts and questions in the comments section below. We look forward to hearing from you.
